For several years now I have been placing the small stones of the foundation of my exploration into the practice of art. I've been intending to create art that is in line with my heart and what I truly want to express. I am still in fertile beginnings in that regard and I am still exploring how to make art that is led by my aim in life, which is to live conscious of the glory of being. Most of my pieces will attempt to show the interconnections of the natural world, the rest of creation, with the human being. Slowly and for long we have strayed away from reverently regarding nature as sacred, this breaks my heart and inspires my hands to paint. My days are filled alone sketching and painting in the studio, pouring myself over the great and unknown teachers of Truth, or with the sun on my back and my hands in mortar laying stones to supplement the art and sadhana endeavor, or serving the temple and community that I love. My life as it is is very simple and I am grateful for it. As an artist I want to stand in responsibility and respect for what art is and to use my hands, heart, and mind to create in a way that fulfills my longings and contemplation. I have a wordless and imageless thought of the art that I want to bring forward and I'll strive always toward it.
